Organized by the Milal Welfare Foundation, this volunteer project was designed to provide the right to learning and living during the night and a safe environment for African Malawi and Vietnamese children suffering from energy poverty due to lack of electricity supply.

Especially, this volunteer project was especially meaningful with international students from the Global Cooperation School of Chung-buk National University International Exchange Headquarters who visited Korea.

Nepes staff and international students concentrated on making solar lanterns for an hour consulting the manual, and they finished the lanterns by hand-painted decorations and handwritten letters.

One staff who participated in the volunteer said, “I have never imagined a life without lights, but I felt sorry that there are still many countries exposed to the danger of darkness because they still can't use electric energy. I was grateful and joyful to take an opportunity to share through this voluntary work, even though it was a small effort.”
